L.I.T. News - Your Assistance Is Requested - Issue 70

Reader,

So happy to see you here at another L.I.T. News newsletter. It makes my day when you take the time to open your email and see what I have waiting for you. Did you happen to notice the change in this email? It's ever so slight. You may not have, if you're new to the newsletter, and that's okay. Welcome! But, if you've been around for a while, you may have spotted it already.

Well, to alleviate the suspense -- I changed up the "Subject Line." I was tired of the same old-same old "Degrees of Maternity Newsletter - Issue (#)" as being the "Subject Line" title. It's time to change things up. I decided to list the actual title of the newsletter in the subject line. Go figure! And, I decided to give it a little "topic" action, as well. I'll still keep up with the issue numbers, because it's good to keep track of where we are. So, there you go. Some little housekeeping items in these here parts. Hee. Hee.

I also wanted to request your assistance with something. A little background . . . so this is the perfect time of year to introduce reading assistance for those young people who could use some extra skills development and/or enrichment from what they are already receiving through their public or private school or homeschooling instruction.

Many children have already been through beginning-of-the-year testing to see where they are in their reading/ELA skills, and determinations have been made regarding whether or not the students need some additional assistance in this area of study. So, what I'd like to propose is for you to think of one or two families who could benefit from a child or children in their household receiving reading tutoring this school year. My tutoring services would help close reading skills gaps and/or provide extra reading instruction and practice with the fundamental building blocks so necessary in growing in reading readiness.

If you have one or two families in mind, could I so humbly ask you to forward the link below to them and let them know I'm here to serve our youth and thoroughly enjoy working with elementary and middle school children as a one-on-one online reading tutor?

Furthermore, I have one more request. Yes, I know I'm asking a lot. But, here it is . . . please don't forget to check out this month's issue below. It's a good one.

LIT News - Sept 2025 Issue 70.pdf

In this month's issue, I include my blog post, entitled "My Next Blogging Move . . . Daily Challenges Ahead!" where I delve into my new daily challenges I'm conducting, challenging myself to pick up the pace at my blogging abode at Degrees of Maternity. You can get all the details on page 4 of the newsletter when you click on the link to the blog post. Hint. . . hint . . . the challenge has to do with tutoring! And, I'd love it if you'd come spend some time with me during the challenge. I need all the Accountability Partners I can get. If I know you'll be reading the blog posts over there, I'll have even more momentum to keep myself focused on the blogging task at hand.

SO, YOUR ASSISTANCE IS REQUESTED!

Well, I've kept you long enough. But, I can't close out until I make sure you checked out last month's issue, if you didn't already. See below:

If it's Fall/Autumn where you are, enjoy it. I absolutely LOVE this time of the year and am anxiously waiting to see all the pretty colors that the leaves are getting ready to drop. Enjoy your weeks to come. And, thank you for being here.

Degrees of Maternity

Hi there! I'm Jana (Yahna) Williams.

Welcome to a cozy place to hang out, where life education never ceases. Every 4th Sunday of the month, we’ll explore the areas of personal and professional development with an underlying theme of reading and writing for growth and healing. (I'm a HUGE literacy advocate! And, literacy is intertwined in just about everything I do here online. Take, for instance, the L.I.T. News Newsletter that I hope you'll choose to peruse. The "L.I.T" in the newsletter name is representative of Life-Improvement Training -- which we do a lot of around these parts -- as well as my love of all things literacy.) Just know that, as a content creator, I have a passion for educating others through positive, encouraging, and life-impacting content. Words are powerful once delivered. So, let’s enjoy their empowerment for the good, as we travel this life-improvement journey together.
