Hi there Reader, Welcome! Welcome . . . to those of you returning as well as to those of you who are new to the L.I.T. News Family. I'm so happy that you found yourself here at today's email. To do a little something different than I normally do, I decided to forgo the brand-new (hot-off-the-press) monthly newsletter attachment and provide you with a video and a form attachment instead. But, wait a minute! I DO have an oldie (but goodie) newsletter for you in case you haven't had a chance to peruse it just yet. It's last month's newsletter. So, see. I didn't completely shake things up around here. Hee. Hee. Check out issue 76 of the newsletter (directly) below: LIT News - Mar 2026 Issue 76.pdf Now, for the new content for today, I have a little assignment for you. And, I need for you to follow through on this assignment, because it's very, very important. (Well, to me, anyway.) As some of you know, I have been working pretty hard on the planning for this year's Degrees of Maternity Summer Reading Program. And here's where your assignment comes in -- I need for you to watch and critique the attached video (below) that I'm using to promote the summer reading program. I need for you to let me know what you think about it. Honest feedback. No matter how tough it may be for me to hear or you to tell me. I'm always looking to improve and do better, and I look to my online family for guidance in these content creation matters. Video: 2026 Summer Reading Program Presentation.mp4 There is also a Google Form (below) that interested parties can complete, providing me with their information. I'll use that information to set up a 30-minute "Interest Meeting" through Zoom to go over more program details and to answer any questions they may have. Please see what you think about that form, as well. Form: https://forms.gle/h9tZEqdgBNcQLz469 Who knows? You might even have a child who could benefit from the program, so you're gonna want to check things out here. And if you don't personally need my reading tutoring services for your child this summer, I still would like for you to look at the content because you might know a family who could use it. Plus, I just want to see what you think and see if you have suggestions to make the content better. I so, so, so NEED your help in spreading the word on this extremely worthwhile initiative. We have children who need assistance in foundational reading skills. No child left behind, and no child pushed along through the school system without wholly preparing him or her to be a skilled reader. A fundamental skill set on which just about every other learning aspect builds from. So, if after reviewing the attachments you feel good about them, please send out the video and Google Form to those who could use the information -- at least 3 people. (And, if you're looking for content to post on your social media, feel free to use the video and form with a nice message about me attached to it. Hee. Hee. Or, with their permission, you could email me the contact information for the individuals who are interested (only those individuals who give their permission for me to contact them). This is extremely important, Family. Help me help the children. And look, the summer months (the perfect time to work on reading readiness) are just around the corner. I'm looking to bless 20 children this summer, and I can do it with your help. Can I count on you? It just takes a little time out of your schedule to make contact with someone, but it could possibly lead to a noticeable benefit that can bless a child for his or her lifetime. What do you think? Okay, you have your assignment. Please know that I appreciate you being here -- ALWAYS! I plan on returning to regular content programming next month. And hopefully, I'll have some great news to report to everyone in the next newsletter regarding the opportunity to be a literacy advocate for some wonderful children this summer. Have a great rest of this month and next. Until next time . . . Jana/Yahna Degrees of Maternity |
Welcome to a cozy place to hang out, where life education never ceases. Every 4th Sunday of the month, we’ll explore the areas of personal and professional development with an underlying theme of reading and writing for growth and healing. (I'm a HUGE literacy advocate! And, literacy is intertwined in just about everything I do here online. Take, for instance, the L.I.T. News Newsletter that I hope you'll choose to peruse. The "L.I.T" in the newsletter name is representative of Life-Improvement Training -- which we do a lot of around these parts -- as well as my love of all things literacy.) Just know that, as a content creator, I have a passion for educating others through positive, encouraging, and life-impacting content. Words are powerful once delivered. So, let’s enjoy their empowerment for the good, as we travel this life-improvement journey together.
Reader, Welcome to this month's issue of the LIT News newsletter. I'm so happy you're here! You're going to find some content that will make you think about getting some goals in the works, doing a little writing therapy, encouraging young readers to read over the summer, and looking into some suggestions for a staycation. Interesting stuff, indeed! So, you'll want to check out issue 77 of the newsletter directly below (for all of the details): LIT News - May 2026 Issue 77.pdf And, the...
Reader, The L.I.T. News newsletter is growing in family support, and I'm so incredibly thankful that you are here. So, I pray that there is something within the pages of today's issue of the L.I.T. Reader, Welcome to another issue of L.I.T. News. I'm excited to continue the topic of communication, specifically emphasizing the importance of how we communicate with ourselves. YOU are important, and it's necessary to check in with yourself regularly. Personally, I've found writing to be a therapeutic way to do so. And since sharing is caring, I've taken the liberty to share a little of what I've found to be true about writing therapy. So, please check out issue 75 of the newsletter -- hot...
