L.I.T. News - Goal-Setting and Consistency - Issue 81

Reader,

Welcome, welcome, and welcome! I'm thankful to have you join me at this month's issue of the L.I.T. News Newsletter. It's all about L.I.T. (life-improvement training) around here. And, I'm excited to bring you some more positive, life-impacting information that I pray you'll be able to take with you to mentally feast on from time to time.

I also want to let you know that I have a new goal-oriented journey that I'm about to embark upon, starting a week from today (on Sunday, October 4th). Now, while this is my "12-Week Year" Challenge, I'm sharing it with you on the Degrees of Maternity blog site, so you can take what you can from it to assist you with your own goal-setting/achievement journey. Because . . . I would have to imagine that there are some things you need to get goaling on and time is of the essence. So, let's go on this journey together.

I'll not only share what my personal and professional goals are for the remainder of 2026, but I'll let you in on the plans to get to my goal destinations and how I'm going to execute on those plans. Sound good?

And on top of that, we'll go through some chapter summaries of The 12 Week Year by Brian P. Moran and Michael Lennington. Because -- you just might want to take a look at this book for yourself. I think I'm on my 3rd read of the book, which means I like it . . . A LOT! It's that type of content that can give you a kickstart right in the rear end if you let it do its thang. And, I definitely need the "not so gentle nudge" sometimes.

So, get ready for some goal-oriented action to come from my end of the Internet. Now, what about your end? Will you join me? . . .

Let's make our intentions to GET WORK DONE a done deal. We've got to execute the plan. That's the only way we'll see progress. That's the only way we'll reach our goal destinations.

Have some great weeks to come! Until we meet again . . .

Hi there! I'm Jana (Yahna) Williams.

Welcome to a cozy place to hang out, where life education never ceases. Every 4th Sunday of the month, we’ll explore the areas of personal and professional development with an underlying theme of reading and writing for growth and healing. (I'm a HUGE literacy advocate! And, literacy is intertwined in just about everything I do here online. Take, for instance, the L.I.T. News Newsletter that I hope you'll choose to peruse. The "L.I.T" in the newsletter name is representative of Life-Improvement Training -- which we do a lot of around these parts -- as well as my love of all things literacy.) Just know that, as a content creator, I have a passion for educating others through positive, encouraging, and life-impacting content. Words are powerful once delivered. So, let’s enjoy their empowerment for the good, as we travel this life-improvement journey together.

Reader, It's back-to-school time in the U.S., and I'm ramping up for a new school year of reading instruction for the children I'll have the privilege of tutoring. Exciting stuff, indeed! I'm expecting to see some returning students and to meet a whole new crew, as well. And with all the newness a fresh school year brings, I have my work cut out for me in getting myself situated for some new goal setting, prepping the goal mindset, and actively working toward carrying out my goal plan(s). So,...

Reader, Today's issue of the L.I.T. News newsletter is all about -- not giving up, even if that means you have to take a break here and there to refuel and replenish yourself before moving on with the goal worth getting. I know you have things to do, places to go, and people to see. So, I intend to get right to the "content" matter. Check out the newest issue, issue 79 of the newsletter, (directly) below: LIT News - Jul 2026 Issue 79.pdf You can find the following in today's newsletter:...

Reader, Let me just start by saying, "Thank YOU" for being here. I'm absolutely thrilled to be sharing this month's L.I.T. News Newsletter with you. We're finally getting back into our goal-setting/achievement and communication discussions. And, I'm so incredibly happy about that. I need to keep myself accountable for GETTING THINGS DONE! So, reminders about getting and staying on track when it comes to desired outcomes, are always welcome. I've actually been pretty aggressive with the...
